Eliza Gheorghe received her doctorate in International Relations from the University of Oxford in September 2014. She holds an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown, where she was a Fulbright scholar. She was a fellow at the Norwegian Institute for Defense Studies (2011-2014), a George Abernethy pre-doctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Center in Bologna, and a post-doctoral fellow at the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, Cornell University. She has taught classes on International Relations, US Foreign Policy, and nuclear proliferation. She writes on nuclear sharing, atomic assistance, domino effects within alliances, and smuggling networks.
